David Grossman Homework
I agree with most of David Grossman opinion. I do agree with him that media companies should be responsible for the messages that they are spreading to children. I agree with his ideas about video games can make children believe that the world they are living in is a dark and dangerous place. I also agree that most video games are simulate military warfare, killing people. But I disagree with his ideas about the cigarette smoking, I think it doesn't really related to each other. I don't really get that part, I don't understand why he compared video games with cigarette smoking. Anyway, I agree with most of his opinion and I hope the media companies will think about this problem.

Homework
I think twelve and thirteen year olds shouldn't be able to play any video game they want because there are games that aren't suitable for this ages. For some people, violent games may damage their brains and they will do bad things in the real world just like what they did in those violent games. If the game is about killing people, and they played it too much, then they might kill someone in the real world. Some people just can’t control themselves and hurt other people. In conclusion, I think twelve and thirteen year olds shouldn’t be able to play any video game they want because sometimes they can’t control themselves, and that action will bring a bad resolution to their lives.

Reflection
On Thurdays, we had a guest speaker, Mr. John Golden. He talked about his time in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, it rains all the time, and there are ponds everywhere. In Bangladesh, mosquitos are everywhere, and that is why Mr. John has to use a mosquito net, also it is the #1 country that has dengue fever. Bangladesh is very hot and the air is polluted; it is a 94% Muslim community. Mr. John teaches at the P.T.I – Primary Training Insitute, he teaches adults how to teach primary students. He lived in Bangladesh for 20 months, he had to leave early because there was a terrorist who drove an airplane to the twin tower and killed around 3,000 people, so Mr. John had to go back to America. For the first 3 months, Mr. John lived with his host family, his little sister named Sajuti. And for the next 17 months, he teaches the adults. During the conference, he said that lower class people take bath in the ponds, and his students never saw him taking bath. So, his students asked him that did he ever take a bath, he answered he took it everyday in the bathroom, not in the ponds, and I think it was funny. He said Bangladesh people are very nice, and they always have a big smile on their face. And although they are poor, they would invite you in to have lunch with them. Before the conference, I think Bangladesh is a very scary place, but after the conference, I was wrong about Bangladesh and I think Bangladesh is a place that full of nice people.

Homework
When I read the book "The Carpet Boy's Gift", the rule that has been ignored was "Every child should have time to play and rest". I think having time to play and rest is very important to children because when they're playing, they can have fun and forget all the things that they've been wondered. But in this book, Nadeem and his friends have to work all the time, and they don't have enough time to playing around. And I think that is unfair for those children who were born in poor families and don't have the opportunity to have education and as free as us. So, I think that we should give children time to play and rest.

My favorite song
One of my favorite song is "If you're not the one" by Daniel Bedingfield. I like this song because it's meaningful and the melody. I usually listen to this song when I'm sad because its melody can make me happier.
